Note on: I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud

While the poet was wandering like a cloud above hills, he faced a field of daffodils. The dancing flowers were better than the dancing waves. The only thing the poet could do then was to enjoy the scene and be happy but he didn't realize this and whenever he feels lonely and vacant he remembers this memory to feels better.

Figurative Language:
Similie: The speaker is metaphorically similarized to a cloud.

Extended metaphor: A crowd, host of daffodils.
"Continuous as the stars ..." Daffodils in the bay were like the stars on the milky way.

Personification: daffodils are personified as dancing human beings and tossing their hands and a crowd, a host. Also the dancing waves, his dancing heart and both happy daffodils and waves. Daffodils outdoing the waves. We can also consider a crowd and host of daffodils as personification.

Metonymy: Inward eye and heart can be considered as symbols of soul and spirit
